Effective Criteria Based Digital Feedback for PE Students

This is a two part session which begins with putting on your athletic gear and joining in a small side game for 10-15 minutes. You will be filmed and digital feedback will be generated on your game play. We will return to a classroom setting and explore how the two types of feedback are utilized in the PE classrooms to improve performance. First looking a criteria based rubrics that are generated for each individual student through Google Forms and Autocrat to supply immediate feedback. We will walk through the process of creating a link between the rubric and the form to generate individualized feedback and how to share it with students and parents immediately. Then Mr. McKelvie will share ways that students in his PE classes have used video analysis to self-assess and determine what they need to do to improve. In this session you will see options of different ways students can self assess using rubrics and short answer questions based on their most recent classes gameplay.

Session Objectives:

Learn how Google Forms, Sheets and Autocrat are used to supply immediate feedback to students.
Utilizing Video analysis for student Self Assessment.
