This workshop is the product of several years of cultural orientation program for new staff at SIS that grew into a series on cultural sensitivity. Learn about Korean culture that will help you adjust to life here as well as deal with students and parents with strong Korean affiliations. We will go over tips on how to enhance cultural awareness and competence by encouraging positive cross cultural relationships in our community, both with colleagues as well as students. The goal of the session is to leave with a clear definition, philosophy, & techniques for a successful cross cultural communication, to help you make sense of your life if Korea.

Session Objectives:

Learn about things that can make your life in Korea make some sense!
Cultural Sensitivity – walk away with the answer to, "Is there really such a thing as a Cultural Intelligence?"
