In this session, we will emphasize the importance of building a classroom community where students feel a sense of belonging, take responsibility for their own learning, and share respect with teachers and peers. We will explore the idea that teaching and learning are meaningfully intersected in a way that encourages communal growth.
This session is not about dwelling on solutions to classroom problems. Instead, it aims to provide some guidance and thoughts to help teachers reflect on current practice and, in turn, seek the best ways to connect with their students. With particular attention to primary classrooms, the session raises questions about how we view students, how we interpret their needs, and how we establish communication with students, so they are listened to, helped, cared about, and loved.

Session Objectives:

1. Engage in a discussion about to help students become good citizens through modelling positive communication skills and character trait education.
