Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.

In this session, participants will break apart an NGSS Performance Expectation into its' three dimensions and learn how to build an awesome (and engaging!) assessment task that is fully aligned with the NGSS framework. Following group discussions and brainstorming, participants will work to develop their own ideas and prompts in order to build their own intriguing assessment task(s)! The example used during the session will follow a High School Performance Expectation but as groups brainstorm, participants are encouraged to use their own MS and/or ES standards. AP and IB science teachers are welcome as good assessment tasks are something all teachers strive for!

Session Objectives:

Analyze a Performance Expectation from the NGSS Framework.
Learn a strategy to build both interest and wonder/curiosity into an aligned assessment task.
